What is Global Entry?
Global Entry is a Trusted Traveler Program, developed by the U.S.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that allows low-risk, pre-approved travelers to use the
benefits of expedited clearance upon arrival into the United States.
All Global Entry applications undergo a background security check when applying for this
program. Additional in-person interview may also be required, especially for initial
enrollment applications.
How long does Global Entry conditional approval
take?
Processing times vary by each applicant, but on average, it takes up to
15 weeks at the moment. Usually, it takes up to 11 weeks,
but due to the extended Government
shutdown in the beginning of the year (2019), it now takes a little bit longer.
You will also receive more information about your application status updates in the
notification panel of your TTP account. Additionally, notification of when you may schedule
an interview appointment (if one is needed) will only be posted there.
How to schedule an interview appointment for Global
Entry?
If your Global Entry is conditionally approved, you will be requested
to complete an interview in order to get your application finalized. All conditionally
approved members have 365 days from the date of their online approval notice to complete an
interview with their nearest enrollment center. You can check all the available
Global Entry interview locations and time slots in this
Global Entry Interview Schedule
(Appointment
Calendar).
Note: If you wish to schedule and confirm an interview
appointment,
you must be logged into
the TTP system with your login.gov credentials
What documents to bring to the Global Entry
interview?
On the interview in the Enrollment center, you will need to bring a
set of documents, as well as printed copy of your conditional approval letter. You can
access it via the Notification panel, when you are logged in to your TTP account. In case
the notification with conditional approval letter is missing, then please write down the
PASSID number issued to your application and print out a copy of your interview
confirmation.
Additionally, you will need to bring the following original documents:
Valid Passport -
if you have and travel with more than one passport, please bring them to the interview.
The officers will add up this information to your file. That way, you can use either
passport at the Global Entry kiosk.
Permanent Resident Card (Green Card),
if applicable
Birth Certificate, Naturalization Certificate, Border Crossing
Card/Laser Visa*
(please note that these documents are going to be needed only if you indicated them in
your Global Entry Application)
Evidence of residency documents – As a proof of
address, you can use these documents, for example: driver's
license (if the address is current), rental payment statement, mortgage statement,
utility bill etc.
Note: Evidence of residency documents are not
required for minors. Parents or legal
guardians accompanying them should be able to provide proof of address on their
behalf.
Court disposition papers for any prior arrests or
convictions. (if any)

application processing times and limited appointment availability at TTP enrollment centers.

before expiration of your current membership, then you can continue to use your benefits
until the renewal is finalized (up to 6 months after your expiration date).

jacket) and also keep your electronics and liquids inside your
bag while passing through the security checks.

waiting for my card. How long does it take to get your Nexus card?
Once you pass the interview in the enrolment center, be informed that it takes approximately
6 to 8 weeks to receive the card (or sometimes even quicker). It will come in a plain white
envelope and cannot be forwarded. In case it doesn’t reach you in that time frame, you need
to contact the enrolment center you attended.
Also, the card may need to be activated (in case you wish to use Sentri and Nexus lanes when
crossing the border). You can easily do that by login into your Login.Gov account and click
on the "Activate membership” and follow the instructions on the screen.
Can I apply for a NEXUS card with an offence?
Yes you can apply for Nexus membership, however, your application may be denied. Your
chances are good if you committed the offence more than 10 years ago and/or you obtained a

has been: Withdrawn, Dismissed, Stayed, Conditionally or absolutely discharged, you won’t be
able to obtain Nexus card membership (or any other Trusted Traveler Program)
I’ve lost my Nexus card. What to do?
If your Nexus card was lost, stolen or damaged, first, you must report it to one of the
NEXUS enrolment centers. After you have reported, you need to re-apply for Nexus card
replacement online. You can do that
HERE by filling our short
application form.
Note that since it is just a replacement, not a renewal or initial request, the process of
issuing the new card should be within 3 weeks (or even quicker). No additional background
security checks need to be performed. Based on our experience, we can say that most of our
clients report that they receive their cards within 7-12 business days.
How to renew Nexus Card online?
The renewing process is slightly different since you
applied for the first time. The system has now changed from GOES to TTP, and the process is
confusing and complicated for most people. You can use our
easy Nexus
Application form here
to get your membership renewed. Our specialists will process the application for your and
will provide you with further details via email.
How do I update my passport information, address or
driver’s license info for Nexus Card?
In case you change your billing address, passport, driver’s license or any other personal
information, it is mandatory to update your TTP account. Simply log into the TTP website to
update it by using the tabs on the right side of the screen. Also, note that you will need
to go to the nearest Enrollment Center to update your current details.
Important: For recent renewals: after you are conditionally
approved in the Gov system and
once the status change to "Approved”.
At the moment, on our website we do not offer SENRI processing assistance. Our team is
currently working on that matter, so we could offer you our specialist’s help for your
application. As soon as we have this service up and running, we will update this SENTRI
pass
section in our F.A.Q. page. Here we will provide answers to all of your questions such
as:
What is SENTRI?
How to apply for SENTRI?
How long does it take to get a SENTRI pass?
How much does SENTRI cost?
...and more!
Is it my GOES account disabled after the migration?
– Yes. Your GOES account is no longer
active, however the CBP keeps your information on file. Now you are required to create a
login.gov account that will be used as a sign in option into the TTP platform. Once you are
logged into the TTP system, you will be able to link your PASS ID/ Membership IT /KTN to
your account. Then, the information will be automatically pulled out for you.
What is the difference between GOES and Login.gov?
If you already have a Trusted Traveler Membership, you are familiar with the term GOES.
Since October 2017, the Global Online Enrolment System has changed and migrated to the new
TTP system, where all members are able to log using the national login.gov platform. Note
that the login.gov is also used for USA Jobs system, as well as the Trusted Traveler
Program.
Does the Global Entry/ Nexus /Sentri programs have TSA Pre-check?
Almost all of the Trusted Traveler Programs have TSA pre-check included into the membership.
This is valid for the following program: Global Entry, Nexus, Sentri. However FAST program
does not include TSA pre-check screening.
Where can I find my Pass ID/Known Traveler number? – Please note that PASS ID/ Membership ID
or KTN (Known Traveler Number) refer to the same 9-digit number of your card.
The PASSID can be found on the back of your Trusted Traveler card (on the top left corner).
It’s also visible in your TTP account, once you are logged into the Trusted Traveler Program
website. The airlines refer to the Trusted Traveler membership number or Pass ID as the
"Known Traveler Number."
Is it an interview necessary when renewing a membership?
An interview for program membership renewal may not be required, especially for per-approved
travelers. However, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) can request a new interview for
any reason whatsoever, even if nothing in your life has changed since your last application.
This includes all Trusted Traveler Programs: Global Entry, Nexus, Sentri
Please remember to revisit Gov website for your application status updates. Notification of
when you may schedule an interview appointment (if one is needed) will only be posted there.
