Please read carefully the information below and if you are unable to find the right answer for you, do not hesitate to contact us. You can send us your questions into the contact form at the bottom of the page.

Am I eligible for NEXUS pass?

To be eligible for NEXUS, you have to be a permanent resident or citizen of the US or Canada. The NEXUS website also states the following cases for inadmissibility:
closeyou are inadmissible to Canada or the United States under applicable immigration laws;
closeyou intentionally provide false or incomplete information on your application;
closeyou have been convicted of a serious criminal offence in any country for which you have not received a pardon (for U.S. background checks you may be questioned about your full criminal history, including arrests and pardons, which may exclude you from NEXUS);
closeyou have a recorded violation of customs, immigration or agriculture law; or you fail to meet other requirements of NEXUS.
Additionally, you must:

be admissible to both the US and Canada under current immigration regulations;
have never been convicted of a serious crime;
have never violated Canada or US customs regulations;
complete the application honestly and accurately;
meet any other requirements of the NEXUS program.

Is there any guarantee that my Nexus card application will be approved?

We and our team can give you a guarantee for properly submitted information into GOES system. The next stage of this process is Conditional approval which takes up to 10 weeks and during that time your profile is reviewed, including information and background checks by the Government. Once done, post mail or email will be sent to you stating that you are Conditionally Approved. Please, bear in mind that we are not responsible for any false, misleading or incorrect information submitted to our web site.

How long is the Nexus card valid for?

The nexus pass is valid for 5 years and it expires on the date of your birthday (your birthday in the current year +5 years ). You can apply for renewing 6 months before the expiration date.

How long does it take to be approved for Nexus card?

For Conditional approval it may take between 1 to 10 weeks. Once your application has been processed from our team, it can take from a couple of weeks to about 3 months, depending on different factors that you should have in mind:

• Due to the fact that more people are applying during the summer season, sometimes it takes over 8 weeks for conditional approval which is normal. If you are applying during winter time, it is usually faster as there is no long list of candidates submitting their documents in that time of the year.

• Also, bear in mind that if you are submitting a paper application by mail to the Processing Centers in Niagara Falls or Montreal will add extra time for processing as well, due to the fact that CBSA will have to mail you back with your Conditional Approval Letter, which will take few weeks.

Can I apply for Nexus with my whole family?

Yes, you can. All you need to do is to visit our family renewal page and follow the instructions. Please, bear in mind that there is no one form for the whole family. You must submit separate forms for each member, including children and infants.

Can my child get a Nexus Card?

Yes, a child can apply for NEXUS card and it is absolutely FREE of charge. In order for children to apply for NEXUS, there are few required steps to be followed:

The parent who applies on behalf of the child must accompany the child to the interview and if the other parent is not coming to the interview, they must provide a letter of consent to be presented by the accompanying parent at the interview.

 If you are crossing the U.S. – Canada border by car, please bear in mind that ALL passengers must have their own NEXUS card in order to use the benefits of the fast NEXUS lane, children/infants included.

If you are planning to apply for Family Nexus Card, you can check our page  Nexus Family  for the whole procedure.

When I can attend on the Nexus interview?

The time for scheduling an interview depends on the center you choose and it can be a matter of days to weeks or even months. You can book your interview by logging into GOES system with your account credentials (we will send it to you by email).
